Sontaya Bluangtook is a designer in Los Angeles, California. She has recently graduated this June of 2011 from UCLA
with her Master of Architecture. Her professional experience includes Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects in Atlanta,
Thompson Ventulett Stainback and Associates also in Atlanta, and NBBJ in Los Angeles.

During her time at UCLA, Sontaya has received multiple awards for design excellence including the Carlin Glucksman,
King and the Incoming Graduate Student Fellowship. She has also had her work selected for the Spring 2009, Fall 2010
and 2011 Currents Exhibits.

Sontaya received her Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida in 2006. She graduated Cum Laude
in addition to earning a minor in Urban and Regional Planning. While in undergrad she attended the Vicenza Institute of
Architecture in Italy during the fall of 2005. Her design work was selected for the Top Ten Architecture exhibit for the graduating
class of 2006. Sontaya has also held several teaching-assistant positions for design studio, both at UCLA and UF.

Prior to Architecture, Sontaya studied modern dance and choreography. She has been the recipient of summer scholarships
to attend the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME and North Carolina School of The Arts in Winston-Salem, NC.
As part of a multi-cultural family, Sontaya has also had the opportunity to study in Bangkok, Thailand and speaks Thai.
